10 days to resize my engagement ring??

On sunday July 13.. I went to kay jeweler to get my ring resize, the girl insist it will take about 10 days.. ??
my diamond is under a warranty at that store so I have to have it done there, but 10 days is a long time.. anybody have that problems..?

    Yup, that’s about right. They do not do it in-store, so, they have to send it out. My fiance bought my ring & found out my size before giving it to me, as it takes Zales 2 weeks ( 10 business days as well).

        Usually takes two weeks but that’s because it’s a jewelery store and they probably ship everything on a certain day and pick up a whole lot at the same time.

        If you didn’t buy it from there, go to a jeweler or speak to their manager and ask if something can be done.

          Do not go to a chain jewelry store. Find a jewelry store in town with a good reputation. They do it “in-house” and it doesn’t take 10 days.

            Yes, it does take that long for most chain stores because they ship them out. You may be able to find someone local to do it cheaper, but keep in mind: if you purchased the ring at Kay and have it under warranty with them, having it sized elsewhere will void the warranty.

            That being said, I have to admit that I got mine sized elsewhere because I didn’t want to wait, and my chain jewelry store has yet to notice :o )

                Wow, that’s a long time! Did she tell you why? My engagement ring came back in like two days when I got it resized.

                  I got my ring resized and had it back within one day. 4 hours to be exact

                    Try and find a small family jewellers. I did this and had mine done the same day.

                      really? 10 days! They must send it somewhere. My ring only took 2 days to get sized and get back to me!

                        Surprisingly I think that’s quite common… I had to get my wedding band resized and called 4 different places and they all told me 10-14 days.
                        And the places I called were big jewelry stores and the little local stores.

                          Well Kayes sucks go to Longs they have a guy right there to do it that day you might have to make an appointment though.
